We have an old (1987) 4/c MO that keeps blowing the bottle fuse in the water unit. We swapped out this board with another unit and the problem followed the board. Looking for a used one or someone to fix the one we have. Or any other suggestions.

    thanks

    Hi sir
Would you please send me a Pic from bottle Fuse in the water unit?

I do not believe that his problem is the board, in another external elements, then that you swap the board, and the problem remain .

That is indicative , that problem is external, NOT the electronic board, please send me a Pic.

    Thank you in advance, sincerely

Chock thank you for the reply. The board that I swapped it with was from the same press different unit. The problem is following the board. For example I took board out of unit 2 that was blowing the fuse and put it in unit 1. Unit 1 is now blowing the fuse and unit 2 is not.

If the control electronic board, drive some Motor or solenoid , this must in Short Circuit..Or some mechanical problem

You must take to machine shop repair motor or solenoid, winding is in Short. By that reason are blowing the fuse.

Not so sure about that, as swilson states that after moving power supply, problem follows power supply .

    Hello Swilson,
Behind this PCB, there is a row of 6 x SCR (Thyristor). Try to replace all of them. I had seen before one of them damaged and blow out fuse instantly.

    Good luck

If the thyristers don’t work I will be in touch.

I also have a spm board that’s in a 2003 SM74 that’s mounted to some type of slide rail, any idea how to get it out? It looks like it should come out like the relays do but I couldn’t get it out.

Push the metal plate downward and pull it out from button.
