Hi! What can you tell me about that UV printer? Do you have it?
I am thinking of buying it, I like its features but I have read a negative opinion of the after-sales service of the Focus company from a user on Dpreview.com

    Hello Grafidea,
Where do I begin?? Purchased and arrived in early December, thought it would be my best investment but as I unboxed it found they don't assemble everything like Printheads, Ink Tubing, its a semi IKEA product where they save their time by making you assemble a lot of the parts. Allow at least a Day to get it up to turn it on. Software is so far behind technology-wise, I use other cheap UV Printers and I import any image and Print, with Focus you need 3 Separate Programs to achieve what the cheap Printers do in 1 program, plus you need to buy Photoshop as that's required and you can't complete anything without it. So Basically if you print 20 Custom Images a Day, you need to go between 60 Screens ( 3 Programs ) to achieve this. I've ordered another $2000 UV Printer today because of the time-saving. Software is half English and half Chinese, so when you're trying to learn these 3 Software Packages and you see a Dialog appear in Chinese you're stuffed. Before Purchase, I sent around 15 emails with multiple technical questions and got answers within 20 min most days including weekends. After Purchase, a single YES or NO question takes 4 Days if you keep emailing them, if it's a technical question they will eventually answer it with something that isn't what you asked and just waste your time. Ringing them still doesn't solve any problem either.

Bottom Line, Fantastic Looking Printer, seems really well built but without Support and Crap Software, it's sitting unused and gathering dust for 3 months of trying to get it working and no solution to if it will ever print anything. Meanwhile my $2000 Printers do more and much faster and easier

    Hello,
Thank you very much for your answer. In the end I have discarded this company because of the bad opinions that I am reading. In general it is difficult to choose a machine in China. At first all the Chinese want to sell you their machines as the best, as they have the best factory, but also as soon as you ask a lot of questions they start not knowing what to say or they do not answer exactly what you ask them. They avoid always answering questions that don't interest them. Not all of them are like that, but the vast majority are.

Yes very Disappointing when you spend so much money and rather than honour and support their loyal customers. I've just bought another Printer, gone back to my previous Chinese supplier as they have NEVER not returned a support question and normally its within a few hours, even when they are on Holidays they answer and send any problem to their Tech Guy. I have bought off them 3 times and would have continued with them but they didn't have a printer as large as Focus did so I took the chance and found out not every Chinese company are the same as my original one. The current one I am using from them had a strange error a few months ago, sent them a video, and after they couldn't duplicate and solve the problem put it down to a faulty motherboard, now this printer had 5 different boards so they urgently shipped these to me without any charge, Now THATS what should happen, and the result is they get my Ink Orders each month and I constantly upgrade and keep their Products because of this outstanding support. Hello KenR60,
In the end I have decided on a UV printer from the Nocai brand, which has been manufacturing this type of printer for several years. I have chosen the new model 6090 from the year 2020, which includes white and varnish, and also a rotary device for printing bottles and other cylindrical objects. In principle I am very happy with the service, they are very fast answering all my questions and doubts. If someone is interested, I can pass on the contact of the person with whom to speak.

Update on the focus printer: we have overcome the language barrier and understand each other now. Focus people are able to help, in particular, their engineer William has been fantastic and very thorough in solving technical difficulties.

OK, Update on Focus Printer I purchased in December 2020, after 3 months of not being able to Print or use it because of Faults and no Support, I posted on FaceBook and here and started getting lots of messages of others in the same situation, purchased from Focus and never had a working Printer or any Support, Focus saw my messages and decided to help me get my Printer working if I removed all Negative Posts about their UV Printer which I did back in March 2021 in return getting their Technician to get their Printer, Working. Now it's August 2021, 8 months later, and Still, I have a Brand New Focus UV Printer that can't Print or work. They did try for the First Week and then I think they have given up on any hope for getting it working as they just ignore any email or request for help. From Missing Sensors to Faulty Parts, even the Motherboard had to be replaced because of errors and they expected me to pay for Shipping and the Costs so there is no Warranty on their New UV Printers. The Missing Sensors, they forgot to install these so they do No Testing of their Printers otherwise that would have been the first thing they should have found. Software and Printer together aren't compatible as I have been getting Errors since January and they refuse to answer why the Errors occur so guessing they just don't understand what they are selling. Now I wish I had kept all the Bad Negative posts rather than deleting them in return for help when clearly they knew it was never going to get this Printer to work. Search Focus Printers on Facebook, there are so many others now reporting the same things, Faulty Machines, No Support and just wasting money with them

Now almost 10 Months and Still can't Print on this Focus Printer. The latest was a faulty Circuit board and again, No Warranty as they expected me to pay all Shipping Costs, they seem to know that you're not going to refuse to pay a hundred dollars in hope that you can get their printer working. New Circuit board arrived, got it replaced, and then 2 new software errors and since they couldn't solve the first Software Error back in March I have no faith they will know what to do next. Seems 3 weeks ago their Technician said my Gear Ratio was out and thats why alignment varies every time I print ( Talking about up to 20mm ) so today I can attempt to print a square and it will be up to 20mm in a different position from yesterday. Anyway after 3 weeks no help on solving or how to fix the gear ratio I've finally given up on waiting for them. In the past 10 Months I've printed maybe 20 different items, nothing I can sell as those have been test Prints trying to understand how the Printer works and everytime I think its going to be fine the next day its all wrong again or an error happens halfway through a Print and the material goes in the bin. Hi there. I have bought a UV printer from the Nocai brand, also a well-known Chinese manufacturer. The first thing is that the printer does not come well calibrated from the factory, neither mine nor another one that a friend of mine bought. In my case, the white ink does not print me when I do a test print. However, it does print white ink when you submit a job to the Flexi Rip. It took several weeks for them to tell me what it could be and at the moment they cannot tell me that they are going to discuss it with the technicians. At least the printer prints, although the printing could be improved a lot. I am fighting with them to see if they will solve the problem of the testprint of the heads first, and then to see if there is a way to print with higher quality (technically it is possible).
As you well said, before buying a printer, they are very attentive, they tell you that they give you immediate support, that their equipment is of a high quality ... but really after the purchase things change for the worse.
So right now I would say to everyone that before buying a machine, think about it very well first.

Updated Post - Working with Focus has been such a long process but I have finally gotten to the stage of being able to Print and use their Printer. Found that talking to the wrong people in Focus is what the problem has been, now I have gotten continued Help from their Technician and gotten answers much faster when problems did occur.
