Polar 92E Blade slipping

Hey Yall,
Not sure if this has happened to any one else, but we have a cutter where the micro adjustment keeps slipping.
We'll have our new girl cutting stock when the blade goes from kiss cutting the cut stick, to absolutely chomping into it.
we can reset the blade to its proper position using the micro adjustment, but when we go to do so the brake screw?(lets call it that) is still super tight from our last adjustment.
Im thinking it may be the spring connected to it.
any help would be great!!

 

Hi sir, i can NOT understand the blade slipping??
If the blade slipping the Clutch, in the gear box, must be leaking oil for bad Retainer oil, coming from the gear box to the clucht for
the knife.
Look carefully if there are oil, in the clutch of knife, if there are you must call to Polar, or some mechanic, for fix it and replace the retainer oil in the system clutch.

Hey CHOCK,
It's slipping in the micro adjustment. I believe the machine calls it the eccentric bolt?
The part I'm speaking about can bring the blade up and down about 1/4 inch.
It seems to be moving from its high point to its low point on its own.
The micro adjustment for the blades height, has a small screw that locks it in place.
Now when we go to fix the blades height again the brake screw is still tight, so now we're just trying to figure out if there's an easy fix.
Thanks for the insight on the clutch being a potential problem though!

 

Hey good news !
We've found the issue.
If you have access to the parts book for the cutter, diagram 10.03. part NO. 258064 is our issue.
There are two bolts on the back of the cutter and they adjust the side to side tilt of the blade.
one of ours has malfunctioned and no longer adjusts the blade properly.

Our solution is to use the micro adjustment (In the first image, figure 92) and move it to its lowest position.
It's stabilized our blade and stopped it from cutting deeper into our cut stick than we want. We still have a bit of adjustment with the other bolt in the back of the cutter.
