Hi, I've had all sort of printer brands and models, this time I need to complete some special task and will use some cheap printers. Part of the task involves very dark (long) pdf documents.

I can send to print and adjust color, brightness, contrast, intensity, density, etc, while using Canon, Brother and Epson printers, but I need to know if I can do the same with cheap HP printers, specially series 111x and 21xx series. I actually HAD a few of those models but I don't remember how much I can control prior printing regarding color and contrast, etc.

I know for a fact some HP printer models don't have this feature regardless of the driver or printing software. The printer I'm talking about (specified series) will be tortured and then it will probably end up in the tras, absolutely burned, but that's inevitable. I don't want to affect my # of printing pages and the life of the printheads of the printers I have, or use the fastest one (HP printer) that I have because while it would complete the printing in the blink of an eye, it will consume lots of ink, as this model doesn't allow such adjustments.

If anyone around here has one of those cheap HP printers, I would appreciate confirmation of the allowed adjustments.

    Thanks in advance.
