Hopefully it's just a left over installation bolt?

looks like dumping roller adjustment on an old machine.
Write at least what Roland the machine is. 100,200, ... 900

I have not seen any similar on the R700.
What year was the machine manufactured? What is a plate replacement system? EPL, PPL, APL?
How mm is the first thread of the bolt?

It's not necessary that this bolt is from your car. It could have come from anywhere. It could have been dropped by people who worked before you.

True . I would not want to run the perfecting unit with out knowing a little investigation won't hurt

APL. We’ve taken the plate clamps apart several times before and have not seen a bolt like this before.

That’s also what we’re thinking. The bolt was clean when found. No ink or dirt on it when found.

It could have come from anywhere, but it didn’t. There’s a good chance it belongs on the press somewhere, but it’s hard to say how important it is. Maybe check your steps and catwalks, it looks like it might be a leveling support bolt.

Please be sure to post when you work it out. The suspense is killing me..............
I hope there's a loose leg on the catwalk!

Still haven’t figured out where it came from. We’ve been running the press for a week now. No strange noise YET. Everything sounds and works normal.

match the bolts thread pitch and dimensions to determine if its a metric bolt. If it turns out to be SAE then you will know its not from the press. If it turns out to be metric then your search continues.

It’s not the adjuster and lock nut for the blanket or cylinder wash cartridge is it?
