SM 74 Press Stop due to Unknown Cause

Hi all. I had a Speedmaster 74 (1997) and it has stopped working for two months now. The press can be turned on but the air from the compressor won’t enter the press so the press won’t run.

I attach the screen appearance, please check. As you can see there’s some sort of issue with the emergency stop command from the electronic board / card.

We’ve called several technicians and till now no one has the solution yet. We’ve checked all the sensors and they seem to be fine. Can anyone advise me on this?

Please test the following:

1) The pressure sensor ”Pneumatic system” 15B14 is fastened to the side frame on the O.S.=+24Vdc.

2)The solenoid valve ”Admission of pressure,pneumatic system” 15Y11 is fastened to the side
frame on the O.S. =+24vDC

I have checked the voltage of both the pressure sensor and solenoid valve. Both show the voltage of 23.59 Vdc.

But you have a main problem with the power supply: 23.59Vdc is faulty power supply is NOT in tolerance, by
that reason Sensor and Solenoid valve Admission Is NOT WORKING!!


2) Please repair or replace the power supply electronic board, and additional look for Low or High voltage in your main Transformer of the machine, Adjust the Tap in the primary according with his Input voltage:220VAC , or 380Vac or 440Vac, or whatever are you using in your country.

3) By other side test very well the Sensor +Solenoid Valve, are the big possibility that they one of them or both, can be faulty or dirty( solenoid Valve Admission- coil Overheating- NOT burn!!).

It's not air pressure failure. I assume EAK-2 board which is responsive for main electric cabinet has a problem since it shows list of blown off motor protection. The emergency stop symbol at the button defines an error in DYN or INIT. You need to check these errors at service menu.
