When the water roller drops to the plate the pan rollers spin at a faster pace . Although when the ink rollers drop.... the water rollers do not slow down to the setting. Stays spinning fast. What’s the cause?

    Hi sir:

1)The continuous dampening system control board, receives the signal from the water Sensor or the dampening volume
adjustment volumen and then the output the speed setting voltage to the water fountain roller drive motor of each unit.

    2) The LED for checking the motor speed is mounted in the continuous dampening system control electronic board.

    3) Test the sensors.

    4) Attached is there the status LEDs, for test Motor dampening.

Thank you. The LED lights are not blinking. They are just lit. Also it seems more than 1 unit if not all are staying at a fast speed and not slowing down. Is it possible something can cause them all to do it at the same time? They were fine the first part of my run. When I stopped it to re load stock. I started it up and now all won’t slow down. Even if all is at 0.

    Hi sir:

The electronic is very complicated, one defective component like Microprocessor
can affect all circuit or circuits.

    You must replace the board.

    However test very well :

    1) Flat or ribbon cables

    1a)
    Reseating Boards and components:
Edge connectors are a common souorce of problems. Power down the system and remove the PC boards. Examine the edge connector for contamination and clean with contacts cleaner contacts. Reseat any loose components such as scoketed ICs) . Reseat the boards and power up.

    2) the power supply electronic from the machine , i mean after the main transformer
after the Bridge rectifier, and test the +5Vdc, +24Vdc, etc use your schematic diagrams, and see if there are in Tolerance for 3% up or down. Otherwise you must repair or replace the power supply faulty.

    3) Look for Colder+Dry solder joints in the electronic boards , before to replace or repair.

Where is the microprocessor board located? I’m fairly new to this press. Still learning. Thank you for your help.

    Hi:

I am recommend you, if you are NOT experienced : electrical/electronic,look for some electronic tech.

However the Microprocessor or CPU, is located in the Main Board or Motherboard= MOBO, look for your schematic diagrams of the machine.

Hopefully last question. When I put on a place. What pushes in the tail end , slams hard into it to push it in . Comes out fast also. I saw a couple video of this press and noticed it slowly pushes in the plate and slowly retracts. Can this be connected to the water roller speed problem? All with the motherboard or microprocessor? Thank you again. This has been helpful.

Yes the Microprocessor or CPU, is the Brain of machine .

The CPU has self'diagnostic check, it is ready to word..

After The scan is continuos and the process is repeated over and over every few milliseconds.

You maybe have a good idea, how the CPU, interfere with all the process Electronic Circuits.

    Any failure Stop it.

However test too the : 1) Power supply of Microprocessor 2) Clock for Microprocessor.

did you change any roller, especialy metering roller recently? if so, try to readjust roller pressure, 2nd, crawl speed related to power regulator, that need reprogram power inventor next to main power switch. in mass, ryobi rech you can call Frank @860-202-4091

Yes! We replaced all the rollers in all 4 units. I noticed when I shift the metering roller release lever then run the press and drop the rollers to the plate(to wash up) the water rollers speed up then slow down to the dial speed. If I re engage the handle they speed up. Also.. first thing in the morning it’s fine. After running a bit it starts doing it after I stop it to reload stock. Thank you

you need to adjust the speed control on main control board, the instructions can be found in service manual

So even with the metering roller release off. (Right to left) with the press on and roller dropped to the plate. They all spin fast to pre damp, then slow to my dial speed. If I switch the lever on , the sqeeze roller and all the others spin fast again. Switch off..slow again. Possible it’s roller Pressure? Hope I’m explaining this right. Thanks again

We had the exactly same problem before, after readjust roller pressure, everything back to normal, that is why I asked if you get your rollers changed lately, it is normal spin fast then slow during printing, but spin fast again is not.

Update: so it was roller pressure. Also needed a new motor for 1 unit. Thanks for your help. New question.... when I put in a new plate. What pushes in the tail end slams in quick ...pauses... and quickly comes out. I see the same press on line. It slowly pushes in and slowly comes out. Is mine wrong? I have problems with the plate going in. Thanks

you need to reprogram the speed control unit which locate behind main power switch, it is a mitsubishi brand controller but I can not help for this part, have to find somebody familiar with that
