Mgi dp 8700 dp xl + and jet varnish 3D

Planning to buy this machine , anyone


can share pro and con of this , will help me to take decision on this press

 

pros - machine works well when it is working.

cons - when it is not working lets hope you have more than 1 machine

we have a dp8700 in the "far east" ( singapore ) as of 1st week of july our press is down till now. electronic issues with the circuit boards. As of 29 july we are still waiting on new circuit boards. Apparently they are going to arrive on friday 31 july only shipped from factory 27 july. I am wondering why it has taken so long for replacement parts. So from 1st week of july till 4 week of july we have not done any printing which has caused irreparable damage to our business. I cant recommend enough that you dont only have 1 machine in your shop or you will be suffering if the one machine you have is out of action.

 

JetVarnish 3D is not very compatible with digital print in general. They wont tell you this, but go to someone who has one and ask around. Since digital image has some margin of error in it, VarnishPro 3D machine does not. To get good quality 3d varnish u would need an offset press. It is nearly impossible to have quality varnish effect with any digital print (we have DP8700 and DP60 machines along some offerings from Xerox and Ricoh). So we gave up with digital print and 3d varnish combo. I know 4 other owners of varnish 3d machines and they too ditched digital press for varnish machine.

If you have offset machine - then its perfect varnishing solution

I'm looking for info on Jet Varnish 3D, i've found a used unit, and i would buy for offer service to my hp indigo customers.
I've see 2 label for 2 type of UV 2D and 3D type?
Anyone could share info on this product, also technical manual and tips?

It’s very complicated product... if you don’t have a seller in your area the risk is high... but all depend of price...
