I am a realtor working with a printer who is giving me a hard time about mailing SoftTouch postcards. I visited another printer who claims he has been mailing laminated paper for years without a problem. I explain that to my current printer and his response is:

"The soft touch the printer quoted you on would have be a major disaster and apparently they are clueless on postal regulations. You can't mail a soft touch laminate piece. It is strictly for in person presentations, more commonly referred to as a POP, point of purchase."

From my understanding my current printer wants to use a paper that he can buy that comes as soft touch and then he prints on it. He claims it will hold up much better in the mail... The pinter who says he has been mailing it for years thinks the other printer doesn't want to laminate due to cost.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this they are willing to share! Thanks in advance.
