    Hi guys, What are some of the causes for ink accumulation on the water pan roller?

    Could be a number of things. If you KNOW the settings are correct, and that the pan roller is in good shape, id be looking at the chrome rollers being sensitive. Have you noticed any trend as to just when the pan roller pics up ink? Is it only on certain colors? Is it at the end of the week, when you fountain solution is due to be drained and exchanged with fresh? Is it mostly when your pushing a lot of ink? All of the above could be causing your problem. Should be noted that even if everything is right, you will be picking up a little ink on the pan roller, that will require cleaning at least at the end of a shift.

    Turbotom is right, and by my experience I strongly advice to clean the water pan rollers every shift, because your ink is oil base, and when you don't clean the rollers for a long time, this will cause to hurt the sensitivity of the metering rollers and will result ink accumulation.
    Please take care of your metering rollers as they are very expensive!

    Chrome roller will usually become sensitized and then allows for ink ‘feedback’ onto the meter roller, and/or intermediate rollers in the dampening system. If everything is kept clean and de-sensitized, the main cause of feedback into the dampening system is sub-standard chemicals and/or incompatibility.

    check your ink-dampening balance, ink is too much mostly;
    and i'll stress on my Mr. Asem advice Don't hurt metering(chrome) roller, by harsh cloth or by using non-approved washing fluid.
