I replaced my R3000 with the P600 and when I try to print on vellum (something done without any problems with the R3000) the paper jams. The paper appears to load without a problem, but before printing it indicates that there is a paper jam and tells me to gently remove the paper.

Is there any way I can alter some setting somewhere that will allow the paper to load and print?

    Thanks -

Are you making sure that you have the proper media type selected for it to feed and print? If the printer and computer media types are different, it will give this error as they don't properly match and it's confusing the printer on what media it's feeding properly.

I tried both Auto Sheet Feeder and Fine Art Media. Is there anything else I could try?

When you put the media into the tray, does it provide media types to choose from? For Vellum, it's usually a pretty thin product, so should be something like a matte paper. You don't want a fine art media setting as most of those are thicker papers and the printer is set to feed something heavy, but the vellum is not that thick, so it will jam. And normally fine art media would probably be fed in the back feed due to the thickness.

If you have a picture of the media types, I can suggest which one would work best for the top feed to accept properly.

One of the vellum types I have tried can be found at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004BNLKCO/

I choose Fine Art Media, open the manual feed tray, and put the media in the tray, it thinks that I am loading thick media, and rejects the vellum.

If I try to print as if it were regular photo paper the result is a paper jam.

    Thanks -

If it thinks you're feeding thick media, it's because you have the wrong media type selected on the printer. You want it as a matte paper which is thinner.

On the printer end, make sure it's something like Epson Presentation Paper Matte or possible plain paper; but you also want to have the settings on the computer match the printer settings for it to feed properly. 2 different media types will confuse the printer when accepting the paper.

What software are you printing from?

I am printing from Photoshop. I tried the manual feed only because things didn't work with the automatic feeder. For vellum I have Ultra Premium Presentation Matte selected.
