software reload, followed by a connector loose on reg board.... few days down off and on. came back after the latter, absolutely will not run my daily 50 offset paper. Sticks and rolls up OB corner.. "late to fuser exit"

runs card and postcard stock fantastically...

It's quite seriously making me crazy lol

new software, lost my paper settings.. considered that maybe I got something wrong...., but tried a few things-no luck.

New fuser? pressure? (I ordered both)

    Not oiling?

    help. o_O

Sounds like your light stock is hitting or jumping the sheet sensor metal reflector on the bridge just after it gets imaged by the PR Belt and before the fuser roll based on your, "Sticks and rolls up OB corner," comment. We place a piece of stiff cardstock to "extend" the metal to the left to prevent lighter stocks from going over the reflector as it leaves the PR Belt area. You want to ensure the sheets go between the reflector and the emitter.

    still at this....

its sticking trying to roll up, but only on this one thin paper... that have to use constantly. 50# offset. 14x18

    runs everything else fine.

found my web had snapped... fixed that thought for sure that was it... nope.

    at a loss.

it isnt that. Im well aware of that high tech modification lol

paper is fine as it enters fuser.

paper setting...? something wrong with my paper???? so confused.

Happens with heavy, light, or no toner coverage? Fuser contact arc is good? Fuser oil, tank, and ram clean? I assume you chose the settings from the Xerox RML list after new software load.

Poor quality stock? trying using another 50# offset . Certain 50# will not run in igen constant jams, dog ears no matter how many jumpers you use to bridge gaps.

Ive used this 50 for YEARS. its my #1 stock :)

    any amount of toner.

I think you're onto something with the checking fuser ram etc.... I wiped the fuser with oil soaked rag and it started running briefly... maybe its getting under oiled?

    EDIT:

reboot for 9-1100. now its running no detack/curling problem... whatever. lol

    Now its back.

complete folds inboard and outboard edge...very bizarre... fuser appears oiled... dont think its that...

    too hot?

all of a sudden my paper changed?

    fuser roller went bad?

    ugh lol

    got it running briefly

cleaned the skive on back of fuser... (im sure theres a name...) the little jets. everything. adjusted it in a little, then changed some fuser airknife settings then it ran fine, but then jammed after 300 sheets. :(

feel like I eliminated oiling by filling the metering tank by hand lol

Oh I had cut my "bad stock" down to 11... it got better, but it still happened..

just bad luck with fusers I guess...

well...its doing this again. outboard lead edge curled up, then down. "dog-eared" see photo

paper is fine as it hits fuser, dog ears as it leaves the roller. everything i know to do is done. lol

except for yet another fuser/pressure roll.

    its legit making me insane

so it does this ONLY on this offset stock. Stock which Iv'e used for years. and have confirmed wasn't changed.

Runs copier paper ALL day. crazy annoying.

    theory:

Bad fuser, heat/humidity, and porous light paper combined to cause issue. Hoping new fuser solves it.

well. one of my first thoughts was it was possibly the airknife... it was correct.

Solenoid valve up above was not producing air pressure. replaced...running.

Just lucked out that my paper was just terrible enough to cause an issue, new fuser masks the problem. lol

I must have tried 1000 different ideas on this.. NVM's, modifications... adding oil...

If RAM oil is really bad I've had light paper stick and jam before.
Airknife a little tighter works better for thin stock. But generally it doesn't move or cause problems.
