SM102 Cptronic icons disappeared

Hello fellows, I am currently working on a 1994 SM 102 CPtronic after the machine has been down for a while. I have noticed that some of the icons down the main menu have disappeared as you can see in the image making the machine inoperable. Please any suggestions on how I can restore the icons back?

Since the machine had been stop for while do this:
1) Clean and tigh very well all the connector, wires, flat cables, and Edge connector from the board.
they can have oxide, dusty, or other contaminants: Use good Spray contacts-board cleaner.
2) If every is o.k test if work., If does Not work.
3) Test all the power supply Vca and Vdc see your schematic D in section power supply board , and see if they are in the Tolerance
5% Up or down.

There is no problem with the press, you had lock the switch on CPC. Turn it back from 2 to 1 then it is fine

 

Thank you two sirs. That’s what I found out. The cpc although switched off had the key turned to 2. Problem solved.

Excuse me, can you explain the key from 2 to 1? I got the same problem here.

 

If your machine comes with a CPC, there’s a key on the CPC unit which also serves as the power switch for the unit. It has 3 positions:
0 - cpc Off
1 - cpc On
2 - Cpc locked

Please take note that when the Key is switched to position 2, the icons on the Cptronic console will disappear as it is in this picture.

 

My cpc is blank from 2 dayz..i change the screen but problem is same..any body help me..all other functions is ok.machine is running only this screen is white .i think dnk card gives problem..

Please test the following:

1) please if the Screen has battery , and measure the voltage and replace it if have

2) test the ribbon or flat cable for display and replace it , if necessary

3) measure the high voltage for Display if there , approx 208Vdc, depend of the mark of display,

4) If everything is o.k clean the connectors, look for loose cable, corrosion, and Reset the CPU

Could be anything, either DNK or the DSK, swap the DSK between the cpc and CPtronic screen, be sure you to swap the eeprom also

 

The screen is white so this to some extent indicates the DNK is OK, the image data comes from DSK through the two big flat cables, the small epm board on the DSK needs to stay in the same panel and just bring in the motherboard from the other screen to narrow down the fault.

 

thanks Mr.waqas problem identified .the eprom board is not properly fitted on DSK board that's why image is not shown on the screen..,,someone put alot of weight on cptronics borad with great impact this eprom board looses.
