Good afternoon all, first post on here please be kind.

We have an ongoing issue on our SX102 8 colour perfector, Heidelberg have been in on numerous occasions but have still not identified the fault - any ideas will greatly appreciated.

To summarise - unit 3 form rollers drive side only - are lifting off late, subsequently the plate is inking up photo attached.
Our minders have to boost the damp to clear resulting in colour variation, wash off, increased make ready etc, not to mention wear & tear.
The engineers have stripped out and cleaned the damping unit, replaced the inking and intermediate pistons, replaced the side plate (found to be fractured), de -sensitised matt chrome and steel and checked the linkage yet the problem persists.
Minders noticed variance re weight of form rollers so replaced - (spoke with Bottcher for recommended weight and contacted our supplier).
I'm flummoxed if you have any ideas, that do not suggest buying a new press! - please share.
    Thanking you in advance.

Sorry, I can't be of any help but Heidelberg really should have fixed it, that's what you pay them for.

Have you verified the "stroke length" of the pneumatics? As long as your checking the stroke you may also want to check for any sort of binding on the pivot points of the pistons. How about checking for deviations in the size of the orifices feeding compressed air the the pistons???

Which rollers aren't coming off, the ink forms, or the water form?

Good afternoon thank you for your reply.
Our engineers had addressed all these issues and checked out ok.
I took over the investigation this morning removed the dampers and examined the z roller.
    Z roller bearings had collapsed.
Replaced and reset the plate damper and pan and chrome to rule out.
Working fine now - z roller to be replaced.
Other forms all ok and lifting off - poor feedback pays to check yourself clearly.
    Thanks again.

All sorted z roller and poor feedback to blame.
    Thank you
