    Hi !!

How to adjust the Inkeys Zeroposition on R702 year 2000......the Handterminal is lost :-/

I know from year 2005 machines start service inkkey in menu and start do zero positioning with handterminal.

Same way on 2000 machine ?
Any chance to set them without handterminal ?

    Thank in advance

We have Manroland 200 and zero positions are setted-up by fixing the motors by tool and zero value is set by rotating the trimmer on servo motor itself.
It can also be adjusted from console, it can be found in manual I think...

I can start it the inkkey zero modus from service menu. Now plug in handterminal in the unit u want setup. But dont got handterminal.
U mean once inkkeyzero mode us started i can screw on inkkey Motor directly ?
How to save the setting ? Just go out the inkey zero mode and its saved ?

    Bummer dont got the manual......

It is simple on our roland, you just lock the motor by tool, than manually rotate the trimmer to adjust zero position, it is mechanical, so nothing needs to be saved on console...
I can´t find a picture of the requied tool on google, maybe if you will find it in your toolbox, it´s good way to go...
Or somebody with R700 will step-in and tell you how to do it on your machine.

if the handterminal is missing anyway is possible to calibrate the zero positioning, if all ink slides motors are working fine you only need to set from RCI console the positioning of all ink slides to zero, then use the special tool for the mechanical zero position fixing the pot shaft and moving the motor opening or closing, the goal is leave a thin ink film aprox of 32 micrones enought to lubricate the tip against the fountain roller.
for such ink fountain 2000 year there is an upgrade from manroland you can send your old ink fountain get a credit and obtain a new one ready to run.

    I found required tool
Ive started to adjust zero position.
Cant get it 100% accurate. But enought.
Problem is zero is "ok" now but there are some inkkeys that have much more ink than others when opend.
When open 50 digits its like some inkkeys have maybe 80 or more.
Is it now possible to lock motor again when its opend and make ink film equal to the others ?

When using the manual adjustment tool, leave the slides open at 15-20 and adjust to a thicker film. This makes it feel better where exactly the slide starts to open.
You close each slide and adjust during opening.

when some ink slides move or are not possible to repeat the position then we can say you must repair the ink box, the silicone and grease that is inside are contaminated and the seal is lost...

There is a terminal program for a laptop...
The service key is for rough adjustment only.
