    Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has successfully been able to replace this monitor using a VGA monitor on their polar gullotine, Using an EGA-> VGA converter card?
As currently my monitor is not working. So trying to look at what option I have.

    Thanks,
    Charith

    Hi!

If you connect an old television to the coaxial cable it will work. I saw a lot of machines with a normal television.
I never heard about any working converter, adapter, etc.

    Best regards

    HI,
Coloured Paper, thanks for you reply. What I forgot to tell you is that my monitor was hooked up using a 9pin cable. And NimeshSilva stopped by and had a look at the setup and is helping me to resolve the issue. And he opened the cover at the bottom of the machine and showed me that there is a coaxial output, so if we are unable to resolve the issue with the monitor, he would look at your suggestion of hooking up a tv to the guillotine.
    Regards,
    Charith

The monitor is not the original monitor from polar. Somebody had replaced it with an old computer monitor with 9pin CGA/EGA connector before import it. However, there was an issue with the monitor power supply and I was able to repair it. Now the monitor is back to live and working well. :)

    Hi,
This problem has risen again, now trying to figure out how to use the BNC port. So what I tried was to connect one side to the BNC port and the other to a RCA port. But Sadly this didnt work. Please see the method I used. Im trying to hookup a LED TV to this.
Tried doing a 9pin converter to 16 pin VGA that didnt work.
    Would really appreciate, some help.
    Thanks,
    Charith

    Hi NimeshSilva

I am interested in a solution like this to my Polar 137 MON.

Are you using an ordinary PC-monitor and a signal converter for this?

In that case can I buy it from you?

    Dear Sirs,

May it be better, to adapt a smart phone and to configure the machines via Whatsapp as you like, until its battery becomes dead..

We have adapted a "professional" NEC LCD 22" monitor to a machine about two years ago. A few months ago, this display became faulty w/o reason (it was even separated mechanically of the mechanical stresses of the machine), while being absolutely irreparable by the OEM's definition ("New" technologies, or "High-Tech", "LED",.. you know and like such features), and it was rejected with its slide bracket and with the mechanical LPF.

In opposite, CRT monitors work since ~80's, are repaired and refurbished till now even in military applications. Once, our CRT monitor, improperly mounted by a machine owner, has fell down on the machine table. After a broken BNC connector replacing, the monitor was returned on its duty, although this is not a rule.

Again, we suggest to repair your old-, or purchase new/used CRT monitors for this and for other industrial applications, when possible.
We still have new CRT color and monochrome monitors (old stock) which are custom modified for specific applications. We, and other Labs still repair and re-manufacture CRT monitors, replacing even the CRT tubes. In addition, trade-in offers will save you a few money for a spare smartphone battery.

The industrial and far Cosmos will not be conquered with a "green" wind power nor with a "blue" smartphone , but with the "dirty" nuclear power and with the smart people.

    Regards,
    Oleg T.
