I have a SFN-4 finisher mated to my 7775 MFP.
Display says: "The Booklet Tray in the Finisher is full. Empty the tray."
There is nothing in the booklet tray. This error is intermittent. Some times it will run for 20 books, other times 5 or 6, but there is never a full Booklet tray when this goes off. Only way to get around it is power down. Have cleaned the sensor on the booklet tray. No help.

    HELP

have you tested the sensor to see if it is going bad ? most sensors tend to give abnormal response prior completely going out , at least through my experiences. also try to check voltage or power supply to the sensor. sometimes a little pinched wire will be enough to cut current supply.

Can someone direct me to a parts supplier for that sensor?

Also, the sensor aside, sometimes booklets get snagged on their way into the collection area, just long enough for the machine to trigger the tray being full. This sometimes happens when the sheets have a curl to them, the extra drag and friction delay the books just long enough.

I had such an issue with a KM machine. and a Xerox C60.
