Image dragging out

Hi Guys,

(igen 150 matte, Fiery, running 170gsm silk 364x600mm)

I have a high area coverage of cyan on one side of the sheet and the white out text is starting to fill in.

tried changing the NVM TC target for Cyan, 18013 (Default 5.2) which I have set to 6.7. But not really helping that much.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a 7 hr run to do in 8 hrs. Which does not look good!

This happened to me on my 150 not too long ago in cyan as well. If I recall correctly, my tech did a dev change in cyan but also changed NVM 23,740 (another toner concentration NVM) from 966 to 1069 (higher values mean lower toner concentration apparently).

If you don't get the dev change, flushing some cyan prints or running the dev recovery job exerciser might be able to knock it in place.

Not sure what the numbers for that NVM relate to, so might want to go in small increments of 50 to see where things balance out again. I claim no liability for your dev housing catching on fire or being swarmed with locusts.

 

You could run in enhanced image performance(slow print speed) then it shouldnt do that, until your tech shows up..

 

Charlie you have just increased the cyan toner concentration by 1.5% which is way way to much. You need to drop the value in 18013 to decrease it. Are the first 50 or so sheets OK. This is a common problem from iGen3 days where the wire mods don't clean them selves well enough with high coverage. A way around it is to run a couple of low area in with the job to give them a chance

 

Thanks Mark, support on phone said the same thing, so decreased to 4.7 then changed charge station, wire mod and scorotrons. the only reason I increased it was I had a tech note from about a year and a half ago saved on the desktop that said to increase it. So no wonder it didn't make it any better!

When engineer was in, we changed belt.

at that point it was just about acceptable, then after about 2K sheets it seemed to get better and stabilize. Plus the client said they didn't mind because they had seen things go out from them 20 times worse!

Just coming to the end of the run of 15K XXL sheets. So pretty good all in all! once it settled down it seemed to print pretty fast as well, as it didn't stop to adjust quality.

So ive been having this problem for sometime now on a Igen 150

Tried changing the NvM for concentration to 4.7.
Changed the power supply to cpuc got a new lamp.
Got an new Dev.Station cyan.

Whats next to do here?

 

Possibly check Cyan donor roll velocity.
