Not much activity here these days..but ill throw this out there...

We have original PDF's made for our big digital roll press. I do rework, samples, small packages.

When I get these, and they have certain reds few blues... in particular 032U red. Igen makes a mess of it! Prints it as nearly full magenta, night and day difference.. With Trial and error, ive come up with making that 032U red o32 COATED, and Igen prints perfectly.

why is this? do I have a setting wrong? Are their files wrong?

    anyone else see this?

The fix is easy its just a bummer..

Does the 032u in the igen4 pantone book like the one in the file?

its ONLY these files that are meant for Ci-press.

    Peels,
Did you ever have a resolution to the 08-3263/64 error you were having?

It was a board/power supply i think.... for registration. needed 5 volts or something, which it got during static testing... But was only getting 3 something upon startup. So just enough to pass calibrations etc...then would occasionally rob the motors/sensors of power.

revisiting this. I am coming across this regularly now. certain colors red or blue. the color is right on screen... but igen prints way off. My sop is to run the pdf through graphics dept and they change the Pantone spot from U to C.

Im looking for a way to do it in the freeflow queue settings. Not much training with this... none of the options seem to relate to that. maybe "disable spot processing"?

Basically, make a special queue for these jobs that aren't designed for me...

When's the last time you did a color calibration and then a d f e profile? Have you done a d f e profile for each color stock that you run?
