    Good day everyone,
    My name is Love,
Please can someone help me with what to do to correct Faded printing problem on Bizhub C364e.
Whenever the machine prints, oneside will be normal while the other side will be faded.
I've changed the image transfer belt and the problem still persist.
I'm an engineer but I've not encounter this type of challenge in all my years of service.
Please I really need your contribution and guidance over this issue. I know there are more experience and intelligent people here.
Thank you so much in anticipation.

This is throughout all Colors? Or does it seem more apparent or only occurring in one color?

This may sound extremely basic, but all the drums are in good shape? is it only on oversized media (12x18 - 13x19)?
The developer is somewhat fresh? It's rare however to see all the drums show the same image loss at the exact same time, unless the machine has gone without maintenance for an extended period of time.

Also, check the fuser, see if there is any noticeable wear on the edge of the roller/belt. It seems more likely that this could be the problem, this would effect all the colors. If it's not the fuser, there's still a good chance that its something upstream from the marking engine

I have a gut feeling there's going to be significant wear on that fuser roller. I hope that's it anyway.. easy fix.

    Thanks Biggs,
Yes the drums are in good shape, also the developers. The drums and developers has been replaced with new ones twice. But the fuser unit has not been service before, just the way it came with the machine for over two years.
So, your gut about the fuser roller may be correct.

One of my engineer friends said the problem is from the print head, which I doubt. He said there is a setting inside the print head box that can adjust the error.

I want to go with your gut that it may be fuser roller. I have a spare fuser unit that I can use to replace it. And if the problem remains, we can try other options.

Thanks so much for your time.
    I truly appreciate.

I have to imagine each imaging unit has its own head. That puts us back into a scenario where 4 components must be failing at the same time. Possible, but unlikely. It must be a single component that effects the print as a whole . Either pre or post marking engine. It could be something between the imaging units and the fuser, or something in the last imaging unit before it enters the fuser. This would make sense, the theory being that the each color is laid down exactly as it should, until it hits the final imaging unit, thus disrupting the image through all colors laid down before it.

I'm still leaning toward the fuser though ;)
Take a peak at it. It should be noticeably blemished in some way.

I think Biggs is right looking at the fuser.

Does the faded image happen only when you print duplex in the machine?

Is the first side printed or the second side printed the faded one?

Can you manually print the sheet twice instead of having the machine duplex and see if the same fading happens then?

Does it happen on different paper stock as well?

The duplexing question is a good one. I should have thought of that. Something could be occurring during the duplexing process... leaving you with one good side, one bad side..

    Hello all of you,
I want to know if you solved this problem because I have the same problem too... at first my c454 printed only one side well, and second side was faded in the bottom. Now all pages and all colors are faded from left to right. Is there anybody who solved this problem please? I changed drums/devs/fuser and I cleaned 7 mirrors from polygon motor in laser unit.

After printing the first side the fuser is not as hot when the second side comes through. This can cause the second side to have a slightly more dull appearance.
