Question, When I start production on this press it almost always feed 1 or 2 blanks before going on impression. Timing issue ?
    Thanks

    Hi sir:
    Hope you are well.
You not mention if you machine is 1 or 2 colors.
Your problem will be adjustment +or fault valves in the impression control mechanism
    However do this:
    1) if your machine is 1 color : test the pneumatic cylinder Y1 valve, if are out of adjustment, or leak or defective.
    2) if your machine is 2 colors: test the pneumatic cylinder y8 valve, if are out of adjustment, or leak, or defective
Both of them are impression control mechanism.
    You must do adjustments.

CHOCK, I have looked through the parts book I have and I cannot locate the Y8 valve on the press. I am know assuming a side frame must come off. Can I get a hint as to which one?
    Thanks

Chock, I have removed the gear side guard and found Y8. I am not seeing any adjustment on the valve. The whole system was very dirty. I cleaned as much as possible but the press still pulls a sheet early.

Is this an older QM? I would check the 3/2-way valve block off lever on the non-operator side of feeder. The valve is where the black coil sucker bar hose connects. The valve has a pin sticking out to the right, riding on a lever that is operated by a cam. The bottom of this cam lever has a stop lever. Looks like upside down-reverse L. Check to see if there is a lot of excess grease where the 2 levers make contact. If so clean it off. I'm guessing the block off lever is dropping out before it is suppose to thus causing sheets to be picked up before press is ready for them.

I removed the the casing from gear side of press, broken feeder sucker hose now repaired also removed the valve it connects to and cleaned it completely. There were only 2 O rings on the valve itself, looks like there should be 3 so I added one. Press seems good now. Thank you for all your help it is much appreciated.
