Good morning j must replace one feed sensor of SM 74 year 1983-
The new sensor is smaller than old and I found an adapter for fixing.
Heidelber says that it is not possible to replace only one photocell, but I have to replace all 2 and make a change (they do not tell me if mechanical or electric).
The new ones have the same electrical connection, someone knows if they can still be replaced without damaging the control boards.
    Best regards
    Nicola

    Hi sir
Before to Install for to avoid damage to control board, measure the Voltage
with DMM, and if the voltage is o.k according with the Specified in the New One, you can do it
    in the Electrical Way.
    Otherwise Do not do it.
Mechanical possible you must do some change.

The new sensor should have come with a small additional cable. It is this cable that replaces the amplifier that your press has. Unplug the cable that connects to your amplifier and plug this cable into the new shorter cable. Then plug in the cable for the eye. There should be no issues with boards with these new style eyes. Usually i just leave the old amplifier in the press and cut the cable going to the old eye off. If you think its going to be an issue you can remove the amplifier. Setting of the eye can be a little tricky on SM74. Good luck.
