Pressman is telling me he is having an issue with the 3rd unit plate clamp slipping. We've been through the manual and haven't found an adjustment to get the clamp to tighten down more.

    Any ideas?

Which machine are you having problems with? We had our Spica 29 changed the plate clamp on the 3rd unit.

Make sure your clamps are cleaned properly. Ink residues along with grease and dust make them slippery.
If it still doesn't get better, then it's a sign of permanent wear and tear which can only be fixed by replacement.

We have a Lithrone 528. We've cleaned out behind the clamps with a degreaser and some hot water-plate finisher applies gum arabic as an anti-oxidant. Clamp is partitioned into 3 segments, only one segment isn't clamping. I touch with Komori tech on phone and will see how it works out. Thanks for your feedback,

    Hi,
Remove the grease/rust and Check the clamp properly, might be it Wear and tear due to aging (Long run).
If no wear & tear then use rustic solvent and lubricate it properly it start work.
    Thanks
