I am running an IGen5 and producing an 11x17 glossy magazine which is also going through our finisher (Bourg stitcher) to make an 8 1/2 x 11 finished magazine. All of a sudden out of nowhere (LOL) every time there is a jam, either in the print engine or the finisher, I am losing connection completely to the Fiery. So far this is only for this job, I've tried a few other simple pamphlet jobs and cause jams which do not lose connection to the RIP.
I've had extremely good luck with the forum every time so i'm hopeful that someone will help. Thanks for the advise, ahead of time!

Sounds like a fiery software issue. Have you checked for any updates?

I spoke with the tech and they tell me that the fiery is fully updated. I will double check that. The weird thing is that nothing else seems to crash other than this job. :/

What is the error code you get on the fiery after the jam on the igen?

We are not getting an error code, it just shuts down.

    Hi there,
We got that problem a year ago, or so, on our iGen150. Fiery just loses connection with iGen.
The solution here was, a few patches/updates for the Fiery, and Command Workstation.
We got the updates from Xerox Denmark, who has informed EFI about the problem. EFI then created 4-6 patches, which Xerox installed, and it has running really good since.
Maybe it is the solution for you
