Xerox Versant 80

Hi Guys

Just wondering if anyone has a Xerox Versant 80, we are thinking of upgrading from a 560, and want to know if anyone has run into any problems.

That's a steep upgrade.. They are nice presses but it may be more than you need. Do you run a lot of heavy paper? The one distinct advantage it the belt fuser, it wont curl thicker paper like a 560 or a 700 would.

 

Its also the click price which will be half the price, we run a lot of heavy stock and paper, we do around 30k click a month, Im guessing you have one, have you had any problems with it?

 

Fuser belts will start to go out..But if you're on Xerox serv contract who cares.

Hello Mark, We have one with very low clicks and have been thoroughly inspected by our tech. We are asking $19K for it. comes with Fiery, LCT, Booklet maker finisher. It just came offlease.

 

Xerox Versant 80 is a very nice machine. However, if you are upgrading, you can look for some AIO printers that come today with myriads features.

 

We have a 560 and are looking at a Versant 80 as well... we run mostly thick label stock (think adhesive vinyl and such). We usually have to run the vinyl stock through bypass: it jams in all other drawers including the oversize feeder. Even then, we can't run anything bigger than letter size.

Think a Versant 80 might be good in our case? Could we maybe even run tabloid sized vinyl sheets? Two sided?

We use 2 Versant 80's, they are great machines, quick and reliable. We've had them almost 2 years and I've not had a single problem that wasn't sorted in a day.

database to pinpoint the error source, rather than the "generic your machine experienced an engine failure, I'm trying to

for synthetics perhaps consider Canon's 910 line of light production equipment (formerly the 850 series) - the low melting point toner and twin belt fusing system work wonders with synthetics.

 

I've seen shops who love their V80's and wouldn't part with them. On the other hand, as dealer Production specialist i've replaced quite a few these units with time on the lease to spare.
Which leads me to believe the device must be a fit for your environment. Very much Like the Oce/Canon Vario line. It must fit the work you do.

 

Hi Like Versant 80, but the new 180 is much better. I have been looking to upgrade to 180 from 80 since it has a better tolerance on the front and back imaging.

 

You want a V180? Take ours. It's a complete POS and hasn't worked right since new. Successive firmware upgrades have only caused new problems. The print quality is great, but that is where it ends with our unit. I've been told that there are more in our region with the same issues. Yes, the front to back tolerance is really good.
