It has been claimed by the machine owner who wants to sell his machine that it's a new lithrone. But I have few doubts. How do I differentiate to find out whether the machine is old lithrone or new lithrone.

I will make it simple for you :)

As long as it is a Lithrone , it is old :)
the new versions are LS GL and so on

what is the spec of the press ?
    what is the age ?
    what is the S/N ?
each one of them can set your answer.

The inportant issue is the spec of the pres and it's condition , not the name or defenission

    Good luck

I am not able to arrive at the date because it seems that the machine would have been given for service to the company and Komori have attached a serial number plate with serial number as "8544" and date as "14 5 20". Now what does this date mean ?

This machine also does not have a digital display for "PRESS SPEED".

The CPC unit has button press and not feather touch type of buttons.

Can you please help me out in figuring whether it's a New Lithrone or a old model. Since date is uncertain, I am going by the name so that New Lithrone means it's a guarantee that the model is after 1989. I have already booked the machine by paying the token advance trusting someone that it's a New Lithrone.

    sounds like an old press

ol can still be good , as new can be bad.
go and check the press at work - the only way.
then you can see the damps and be sure
