GTO DI info

Hi since i am new in DI press (Heidelberg GTO DI 4 color Presstek with Pearl) i wanted to ask a few questions:

1. What is the proper packing plate/blanket. Plates are from ctp 0,15mm -Toray- since DI is not used and blankets i think are solids 1,95mm.

2. How much torque in newtons is needed to achieve a good and tight fit of blanket -if needed-

3. Temperature of oscillators and how it affects drying

4. A way to set ink keys using DI software and outside RIP -not sure how to change network address so DI can read files from RIP computer instead of DI server- or DI can cooperate with other ink key progs -eg Presspercent-

Is there anyone that knows how to change or reinforce the calculated density values of ink keys -presstek gto-di DOS program- since they are quite low or change profile of cpc console

EDIT density values are correct now problem lies with the transfer of values to cpc console -low ink key and ductor value-

 

The main problem with this press is that there are so few of them around and even less that are still working, I haven't touched or seen one in over 20 years as this machine came out well before the QMDI and was Heidelberg's first go at digital technology on a conventional printing machine ......sorry.

 

Thank you for your reply mrheid but, could you say a thing or two about cpc 1.02 and how i can affect curve ductor strokes -or is it only for speed so it doesnt affect ink keys at all?-
