    Hi,
Do somebody have clue how much chemical free aluminium plates cost for waterless press? Price for any size will help.
There is from Presstek "zahara" chemical free and from Toray some plates, but those needs chemicals. Is there any more on market?

I do not understand completely your question, but the Zahara plates just need to be clean and process with water, you do not need any other chemical.

Hi Augustov, thanks for your comment.
Did you burn plates on the QMDI or offline?
If on QMDI, did you adjust laser power?
Plate thickness is slightly different, maybe it doesn´t matter.

Not... In the laser power, is not the thickness, is the chemical fo cleaning, this said chemical free but is not true, the Toray plate need a special temperate for burn, need a liquid for stay ready to burn... I did a special modification and use other type of plate and work very well, but I sell thia modifications... So to there my information is limited...

Hmm, maybe there is still chance that Presstek Zahara plates will work. Those plates are totally chemical free. What do you think about this?
Just wondering plate prices, c. 4-5euros/dollar per plate?

One plate burned and printed. It does work without any adjustment. Promising.
I´m still making clamps for aluminium plates for QMDI...

    Hi Risu,
I made bad experience with Toray plates it doesn't work well and besides their price is also high, so this upgrade is good for nothing.
I have some Toray plates cutted to QM DI format. If you want to play with them, wirite me PM. I'll make the parcel and you could pick them up from Kraków
for free (you just pay your carrier)

    Hi Jan,
    Thank you for offering plates.
I have similar like Toray, Presstek plates here and needing only few for plateclamp testing/designing.
I´try to make clamps so simple+reliable+fast+light as possible.
I must check some clamps which are already ready also, some leftovers from old projects.

Here´s one bigger test print done now.
    Presstek sahara plate
    *aluminium
    *Waterless
    *Chemical free
    *Cleaned manually with tapwater
    *No laser power/roller adjustment

    +printed normally
-plate cost still a quite high
-can´t use "manually advanced" plate savings

Jan... i did the test with Toray and work very well... the real problem is that Toray is photosensitive and not work with ligth day... but in other is work fine... hahhhh... this need a packing of 0,001 (plastic film packing) and is activate in alround 45ºC, you need pre-warn or pre-heat...
