Basically it allows you to dry the printed surface before going into the next unit to avoid marking allow overprinting or perfecting you need to have tack rated inks and blankets to get the best use as normal inks are designed to be wet into the next unit so by using Interdeck driers, drying it changes the tack rating.
We use it mainly for drying an etch on the first unit before overprinting useful for overprinting metallics as well but be careful with aftermarket driers any light creap and you can have the ink drying on the rollers and blankets.

Aftermarket dryers if not properly built can spread out the UV light on blankets and rollers and it can dry the ink on rollers/blankets.
