    Hi to all . . .
I have a black KORD 64. Last week it decided not to shut off when several sheets when over the stripper fingers on the delivery table. Now only two of the gripper bars hardly grip the paper and one lets the sheet drop out. I know there is an adjustment to let the paper further into the grippers. Can anyone help with info on how this adjustment works. I have taken off the covers and know the basics of how i think it works. It may be possible that the tapered pin between the two timing gears may be broken. Thanks for your help. hp1989.

We had this on our 'S' and you are right the tapered pin is broken..try to identify it..but i was assited with a south african mechanic to change some broken parts and re-do the timing..timing is very serious man don't go further if you don't have the knowledge..unless you have another same press next(or some accurate photos of the gears) to 'copy' and adjust it.hope u will get through..

    Thanks daniel77
Thanks for your reply. This will be the first thing I try. I have had one of the gears off before and have some knowledge of the timing, If the pin is not broken, my next try I think that if I rotate the gear to one of the other timing marks I think that might change the way the bolt holes line up and give it a little bit more adjustment, I am just not sure which direction to turn the gripper bar shaft.

I tried a few more things today, I think now that the delivery chain may have stretched a little, everything else seems to check out more or less ok

Hi hp 1989. I'm a 30 veteran of this press. Still printing 4 colour process on it believe it or not. I've seen it all.
It sounds to me like one of the shear pins on the delivery drive shaft and the sprocket has rotated. When this happened to me I thought the chain must have stretched too. Rotate the press till a gripper bar lines up to jogger bar in the delivery and see if it lines up or has shifted on one side or the other.

HI.THE GRIPPER BAR WHEN CLOSED SHOULD HAVE A MEASUREMENT OF 40mm FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE CAM-ROLLER TO THE GRIPPER BAR MOUNTING SURFACE(WHERE THE BAR BOLTS TO THE CHAINS).. SET EACH BAR OFF THE PRESS WITH THE 40mm SETTING WITH AN EVEN GRIP BITE ACCROSS THE BAR..THANKS,PAUL..pressfixt@gmail.com
