    Hello,

We currently work on digital printing but we decided to add an offset machine to our company because the quantities we are getting are all between 1000-45000 for each job.

So we were looking for something fast and reliable and we found the QM 46-4 DI PRO.
-What do you think about it ?
-What are the major problems ? Can they be fixed easily?
-Parts prices ? are they reasonable ?
-Does it take 350 gsm easily?

We also checked the Presstek/Ryobi DI...so your advice will help us.
Thank you in advance for your help

    Regards,
    Fouad

If you are technically talented QMDI could be "a secret weapon" for you. It takes year or two to learn tricks and so. Plate costs are a little bit high in nowadays. Relative easy to print. Cheap to buy, but if you can't maintenance yourself buy something else.

-I almost love my qmdi. Big solid print area with hickies annoying.
    -No sidelay registration
-Platecost 30-40,- for 4/0 sra3 job, I use manual cleaning so not sure cleanin part labors
-350g/m2 ok, some rare veryvery thick bag-envelopes do not run.

If are already in the digital business the right choice will be a DI Press, it will help you a lot and your cost per sheet will be cheaper vs digital from 400 sheets. The only secret is maintainace but you already do this with your digital press.

To really close the loop look into finishing equipment like Duplo it will help on DI and Digital.
