2000 Komori Lithrone 640 + L

I am planning to buy a 2000 Komori Lithrone 640 + L UV & IR with Counter: 135 million imprs. just wanted reviews about it.

 

The L640 is a good press. It depends how well it has been maintained especially running UV/IR and coater. In this spec you need to check a few things apart from the obvious things like cylinder damage.
Check the APC operation as ink fly from UV can cause problems. If it has been running water based coatings check the coater impression cylinder gripper shafts. If it has UV wash in the roller/blanket washers check they work properly and the seals haven't swollen up or disintegrated. Check the chains and guides in the delivery, unless well lubricated the heat destroys them. Roller and damper condition are important, things like dampers need changing regularly to maintain good print so make sure there are some spares, especially metering rollers.
If it has been looked after it will be fine.

thank you YG for your reply. the cylinders and the gripper shafts in the coating is good , but the washer seals have been swollen up and the delivery chains are well maintained rollers and dampers needs to be done. The asking price is GBP 255000.00 . what should be the best offer for this machine.
