We just put full set of Syntac Rollers in our QM 46....they failed
...shrunk in 6 months. No we are not using an aggressive solution during washup. And No they weren't set to tight.
Question is...has anyone else had problems with these rollers?

Are Syntac rollers the same as Botcher rollers that the press would have been originally supplied with or are they a cheaper alternative ?

Yes, we run webs but had the same exact problem. Cheaper but your going to spend more money in adjusting then its worth. We don't run them anymore.

    Hi

I have run Cheaper rollers before it does not work they end up costing you more in the long run with higher spoilage and bigger Make Ready Qty's/Times suggest Botcher or Westland rollers with a good maintenance regime will last longer and give you less problems.

    QM46 rollers

Syntac rollers are verry inexpensive. They do shrink very fast and you need to stay ontop of adjustments every month or two. They could last 1 1/2 - 2 yrs. I carry Boettcher Rollers which are OEM for the QM46 and actually have them on sale this month!
