I’m researching for a small project. I want to print on a photo paper or similar paper material that will be printed for outdoor use. I’d like the prints last few years in an everyday environment, such as daily sunlight, rain, and possible winter snow.

I know the UV curing will be necessary for this project. Is there an inexpensive way? The final product will be in a container that not have the paper exposed in the air.

I want to use a home inkjet printer for this project, Epson recommended Artisan with Claria Hi-Definition Ink (smudge, scratch, water and fade resistant photos).

Which printer and ink do you recommend for this project?

You won't find a paper to last or a home inkjet, your best bet is to find a sign maker who has a solvent inkjet these are made for the job. Trust me nothing you do will make your ink last outside.

In the print shops we use a fade resistant ink for outdoor use. you might inquire about fade resistant ink for your printer, they may make it??? also I would suggest using a gloss coated stock and once printed , laminate it. it may be less expensive this way depending on your quantity.
