On many occasions, I have to print files that are bigger than the paper they are going on. sometimes no problem...but, when its a plain pdf, no variable, I cannot do this. This is for mock up, scanline test, where I do not need bleed or or the whole piece for that matter...

Normally, I print it, see how far off the print is, then adjust. When it is plain pdf, when I adjust back to where I need it, the print is cut off still at the imaginary point where the paper ends.

Mild pain, because then I have to hunt down bigger paper, and I hate wasting time on tiny work that we arent getting paid for.....

On freeflow, is there a way around this...? a checkbox perhaps...? something stupid I am missing?

Its never more than 30-40 pages...so No mega involved solution necessary.

On freeflow in the job properties select output>layout>autocenter.
It will print a error page telling you the image is to large for the sheet but it should print the sheet as well.

In adobe try doing a "save as" then save as a new file and resend to freeflow. That should save your new cropped image.

I do not get this error....when I autocenter. I do so regularly too!

ill try save as.. though I'm pretty sure I've done so already.

    thanks!
