does anyone ever tested the Veramax ink in their Epson device,
    http://www.myveramax.com

I have been hearing that this ink is a drop in and they are using Epson genuine cartridge, however I am reluctant in testing.

please give me any feedback you may have,

    Thanks

I would be safe against any 3rd party or remanufacturered inks as they could possibly damage the printer. They use the cartridge, but they try to match the formula that Epson makes. http://www.myveramax.com/index.php/products/

Of course, sending the empty one in to recycle is good, but if they remanufacturer the ink to match Epson's directly and save you, it's almost like it's a 3rd party version. Yes, you could save money, but in my opinion, you would be better to get the genuine ones in case something happens to the printer. Epson won't fix the printer if it's still under warranty since it's not their ink (different formula). Just my 2 cents since I work for a reseller of the OEM products. I've used 3rd party inks on my AIO Epson and after 3 black replaces, the printer wouldn't recognize any other cartridge. I've had it for about 7 years anyway, so bought another printer.

I visited Print 13 in Chicago 2 months ago and I met those "Veramax" guys. At first I was like you, very suspicious about a good 3rd party ink that is working fine. They had 2 Epson 7900, one using Epson ink and the other one using Veramax inks. They showed me their GMG ColorProof setup (I am using GMG at work for 6 years, they are the best in Colour Management) and with the same calibration on both printers the difference was so small that we had to go under their light booth to see some so little differences. I came back home and I bought a kit on their eStoe to try. With their show special, 33% off the regular price, I had not much to loose. I didn't touch my calibration file, nobody notify some thing...

The kit that I received was much better looking than the Epson genuine I use to buy! I put them in, my 9900 told me it was genuine cartridges, ciao compatibility problems I use to have... I am using them for 6 weeks now, no problem at all and very nice economy in our pocket. At $169 for 700ml, hard to say no!

When you go onto myveramax.com, you will find the link for buying online, there is a tab: where to buy. I know that I should have those available at my regional dealer soon, but for now I order online.

You can return your empty Epson and Veramax cartridges to get Veramax dollars on your next purchase. I did put an empty box beside my Epson to make sure everybody puts the old ones in there. It looks like your 4800 model is available at $69 for a 220ml.

    Go ahead, you'll be happy!

Hey!!!!, this is far from being a third party ink.... After reviewing the colorspace with some colour guru at Nustream, I quickly realize this was something else...
VERAMAX, is high end colour stuff for professional, period ! Not a lot of savings for critical operation but at least they are not EPSON and they are highly concentrated to serve our industry, thats what I like... CMYK+

I am colour management consultant and a reseller of the Veramax ink. I have tested the ink on a 7900 with no issues. If you are running through a RIP like GMG I would recommend you do a re-calibration once a week for a month to ensure the ink has transitioned completely. The difference in colour is extremely close, 1-2 delta e. In many cases you can still pass the verification and simply swop out the Epson and start using Veramax. If you fail, most RIP's can bring you back with a recal or optimization cycle.

If you live in Canada then we would be happy to work the you, we have a special promo for your first order; Free Shipping and a 10% discount, just call for the code.

The ink will NOT void your warranty. Check this out!
