mr heidelberg i have a big problem at my quickmaster 46diplus.when i was doing the plates after then i found a sign at my computer monitor of mine machine.at my monitor was a sign that was wrotte BLC2.imediately in my mind was a high temperature at the cooler system because when i switch of the machine i saw that my fridge machine at position off was 3.8bar of pressure.with my mechanic we saw the cooler system(i mean that fridge that keep constant the ink and water temperature) but it works.the fridge was ok and it works good for me,but an electrical man saw that 8 diodes of the 12 V Power Supply were burned.
We replaced the diodes and in one second when we started the machine all the Power Unit was burned.
can somebody help me were can i find this part that have this fabric name in a letter:LAMBDA: and MODEL LFS-50-12.SO

They are called the plate wash devices and use a roll of material which is pushed onto the plate with a soap and water mix after the plates have been imaged and this helps remove the excess silicone, which is also removed by the vacuum devices.
I think this is what you are asking for.

The BLC2 error is normally associated with a problem with one of the laser driver boards with either the board is too warm or too cold or it could have been burnt out. There are 2 boards per unit with 1 board running lasers 1 to 8 and the other 9 to 16, so if there is a problem with the board 1 side of all the lasers will not be working. The boards are located behind the computer side guards in black rectangular boxes, They can be swaped arround to try and trace the problem. They can be repaired.
The water bar pressure is important to stop damage to the boards.

    Regards.

It means switching in OFF line the pressure do not go out. it remain the same.
Can you pls advise how can we reduce the pressure in OFF position to 1.5 or 2 bars also can i ask u What is the input current for immaging proces in Amper

    Hi Mr. Heidelberg
I am sending you some INFO for the Power supply unit.
Pls do your best and try to find a good price for this part for me.
The Heidelberg Rep. in Tirana has no Idea for this machine. Our company is the only one having it. I am sure he will give me a high price and a long delivery time. That is the reason I am asking your help.
    Below are the specification .

The power supply unit from Presstek for
supplying power to the imaging unit (part
number A4.114.1061/ ) is no longer used in
this series and is also no longer available as
a service part. Instead, the power supply
unit with part number 00.785.0607/ is to be
    used.

As the new power supply unit does not
have an integrated power supply unit for
the DI PC, you have to use the subassembly
with the part number A4.140.801N/ for
    Classic and Plus presses

Have a look in the main electrical cabinet and check the trips on the right hand side, one of them could be be tripped and causing the issue with the Technotrans.
To reduce the pressure when the press power is off just open up the black tap at the base at the front of the Technotrans where you top it up from.

I will make some enquiries regarding the board repair, but it may just be as quick contacting Emilio from Mexico on the post above as he is sure to be a lot cheaper than Heidelberg on an exchange board.

    Regards.

    Thank you very much.
we contacted Emilio via email and waiting an offer from him.
What is your opinion concerning quality of plates. Is there any big difference between Presstek and Clarus ?
If you think presstek do you know any body who might have in stock or by occation some plates not used?
Buying direct from Heidelberg is very expences.
    Thank you.

    Hi Marsel,

I have sent you a PM to your email address as requested.
Plate quality is very important, the plate material from Heidelberg / Presstek is the same, i have not heard of Clarus, there is another company called VIM based in Israel. I generally only recommend the Heidelberg / Presstek material due to others giving other issues.
I generally would buy from Presstek as they generally give a bigger discount especially when buying multiple boxes, in the UK is it is arround £550 per box.

    Regards.

The scratches (lines) on the plate could be caused by numerous problems, this could be pressure, lack of fluid (soap solution), cloth not being wound on correctly, ink build up on something.....the list can go on. I have advised Marcel on what can be done.

    Regards.

    Hi

Not sure but maybe try a new cable between RIP and machine.
If you can image a 60%. test job after disconnecting the cable from the RIP and it images ok then the issue could be on the RIP side.

    Regards

    Hi,

Just check to make sure the glass is clean, because they shouldn't have moved in less than a week.

I had some very good experience with the VIM plates. You might want to try them on. In Cyprus I was very pleased with them.
