What is this item, and is this bad?

Hello, having my first issue with my Koinica C550. Do you know what this part is? And the rounded off gears, would this cause the printer to jam? Please help.

 

The part is fuser unit and yes it will most definitely cause the jam. you would need to take it out and make sure that damage only within fuser unit itself and not to the gears on frame side. I think you looking at the fuser replacement, should be 2 screws and 2 connectors.
