Seems like every time I swap PR belt, i go through headaches of having it hit the sensors....and never gets aligned...

align belt, run 953, fault...repeat ad nauseum....

I am on attempt number 7 to get it go through 953 right now... ugh

is there something I am missing? a trick perhaps? :)

Never a problem for me. Make sure you clean the rolls and backer bars align the edge to the arrows and setup. If the edge is against the sensor actuators at start it will fail. If the Drive roll and torque roll are dirty it will fail with PR velocity errors. If the belt edge has ridden over the hole sensor it will fail. A damaged Spots blade can cause it to fail - replace it with the belt

Just as MarkD said, the only time I have problems is when those two rollers on the bottom aren't wiped down very good. Other than that, IDKMYBFFJILL.

    I should have known.

On my old nexpress, the transport web, it would do this. IT WAS HORRIBLE. DROVE ME BANANAS...

OH. the solution here...it WAS the slipping belt. The rag and cleaner i used to clean the drive rollers, was an "endust" style mixture...oily. We have around to clean the ouside of the printers. OOPS just had to go back with a clean towel and some alcohol (on the roller, not in my belly)

    thanks guys.

also. completely unrelated note: if you are are having someone babysit the igen while you step out...communicate fully what to do. You'll love this...
Rush job, needed a break, been pretty nonstop. I had assistant watch the igen....I put stacker cart back in, it goes up... After it goes up, I swept out under it, left it open. then asked her to start it up and watch it for me. SHe apparently slapped a cart in underneath the cart that was up LOL started it runs fine-I go to lunch and come back...cart is crooked, keeps stacking but at a growing angle. That was fun. Cart below was wedge beneath the cart "elevator legs" Would have been dead in the water without access to service diagnostics :)

    happy printing.
