I am not an expert by any stretch but from what i know and have heard the Canon IPF9000 is very versatile and the quality of print and costs per page are very competitive.
Thanks Thanks Billy.., it does seem to be the consensus. You do not need me to say it but it would be nice if either had both..., speed and quality.
We have a Canon ipf8100 (similar to the 9000) and I wouldn't recommend it due to frequent print head failures. The print heads are very expensive.
service is also an issue here in the philippines both brands. if you are going to use it for proofing, better get an epson, heads is considered parts not a consumable.
Can anyone tell me what is the minimum estimate production we can get out of the ink from epson using it for commercial printing
I can tell you how to find out. Print the bicycle image ( iso 300 i guess). this image is the standard image for calculating the yield of an inkjet printer. take note of the size you print ( A4 is enough). also take note of the resolution, the higher the resolution, the more ink is dropped, particularly on light gray inks. Then go to control panel of the printer and check the ink consumed for each color. using the data, you can now compute approximately the area.
