Azura plate issue

Hello having some plate issues on my lithrone 6/28 noticed lots of spots on sheet in non image area in black also a band of more concentrated spots about eight inches from the lead edge of sheet. The band is about 1.5 inches and runs horizontal on the sheet.The band starts out barely visible at first and gradually gets worse during press run. I have been running ever increasingly high water speeds to combat this issue and been battling ink /water balance as a result. Here is what I have done so far in trying to remedy the problem, Changed font, check and set roller stripes and cleaned plate gumming unit. While cleaning the gumming unit I noticed the brush rollers were not turning so I replaced the fuse, now they work and the plate is much cleaner. Now the spots are mostly gone except for that 1.5 inch band I mentioned. I have tried inserting plate into image setter from one edge and then burning a second plate from opposing edge, even punching plate on opposing edge to see if the band would move and it did not move. Has anyone had this problem? thanks for reading

 

whsat are you dampenning water conditions ?

can you tell me what are your dampenning water conditions (ie conductivity , hardness , ph)
and 2nd - how do you clean your dampenning rollers ?

Water is hard from the source but goes through a DI filter and enters into technotrans at 500 my font is at 2700 conductivity and as far as cleaning my damps, I was ink train till ink is mostly out then drop ink and water forms on plate rinse with solvent till clean followed by a good rinse with water and vinegar meters with MRC

 

check for side play in your plate inking rollers on that unit.
