Hello, I just starting working for a company that has a Komori L628,They are having problems with the press shutting off for no apparant reason with no error showing on the console. I did notice the running red light is on but when press shuts down it flashes green for a split second the back to red like an estop has been pushed.
I did notice that on several if the units the E-stop is broken off (the red part of the knob) I am wordering if maybe one of those is vibrating causing the E-stop to activate.
Has anyone every had this problem.

First off, running with broken E-Stops is unsafe. Get them fixed!

Having said that, the normal cause of your problem on a 28 inch is the nip guards. The most likely is the flapper style blanket nip guard. It uses a small microswitch mounted underneath the flapper nip guard and has four somewhat exposed wires. The microswitch can be very sensitive and the four wires come off quite easily. The plate cylinder nip guards should also be checked. Good luck!

It would help other members of the forum to post the results of advice that members go to the trouble of posting. I'm sure that 'presselectronics' would like to know if his advice solved the problem. He is a very valuable resource and deserves the respect of a response to his suggestions.
