I'm guessing that you've resolved your Diamond envelope press issue one way or another at this time, but we have a P-7 that we took out of service 12/9/13 and replaced with a new Halm Jet. two weeks ago. We've been producting about a million envenlopes a month with it since 1997. We ran 345,350 envelopes on it between 12/1/13 and 12/9/13, so it prints. It has all the normal problems you'd find in a press with that many impressions. Let me know if you're interested.

What's crazy my employer wants to sell the 95 P-7 18 we'be had since New and bring in an old halm jet in storage that i know very little about. I'd much prefer to get another diamond since I'm very experienced with it, and comfortable operating it as well. I'm pretty much a Heidelberg guy for most the part, but for the last 3 yrs I've been operating the diamond, and I have to say, regardless of the press that is obsolete in production, it is the last of true american manufacturing and engineering of durability.

We do, it's a P-7. We took it out of service 12/5/13 and replaced it with a new Halm Jet. Until then, we've been running about a million envelopes a month on it since 1997, mostly 9s and 10s, but a significant number of catalog envelopes to 12 x 15". The top feeder was removed several years ago and we may or may not have all the peices.larger. Until it went our of service, it ran every day with very limited down time. It has all the issues you'd expect in a press of that age with that many impressions, but we relied on it as our only envelope press until the new one was up and running. Lack of parts availability is the only reason we replaced it. We're asking $6,000. It's currently bolted, strapped and stretched wrapped to the pallet the new press was shipped on, with other components on two additional little pallets.
