New in the labelling business

We are starting a new labelling business in Lima, Peru.

Started doing inventory labels and barcodes in a zebra 170xi4 (also did those kids labels for moms to put on clothes).

Now we have some customers who want full color labels but on small quantities (500 to 6,000) maximum.

We need a small digital printer/cutter ideally.....have seen the Roland verstastudio BN-20 who also has a rep in Peru but that's about it.

Any suggestions?

I think rather than digital printing, you must look for offset printing.See, your business is growing, at good pace. If you invest one time on setting up offset press, then it will be beneficial for future purpose and printing quality of offset printer is comparably good then digital printer. On the other hand, if you have budget problem, then in my opinion it is good to buy second hand printer.
