Some Lithrone's have L528 and some NL528. What is the difference?

Not sure what the NL stands for (I call it new lithrone), but I can tell you that the NL lithrone 28 was a model released as a crossover press before komori released the 29 inch.
I currently run a NL 5/28, it prints a better solid than a lithrone 28 but there seems to be a problem with dampening unit causing picture framing and ghosting, my machine was modified before I bought it. It does have some nip locks in the ink train which makes roller setting a lot quicker and accurate.

When Komori came out with a new line of 28 inch presses, they called them NL or New Lithrone. BTW, you can tell a NL from a standard Lithrone by the serial number - NL 28 serial numbers are in the 3000's.
