k640 duct roller

    end of duct rollers getting badly pitted through some sort of acidic reaction. thought it was calcium build-up until I had closer look. only 4% alcohol used in fount. also same inks as other machine but not happening there. would a calcium build-up actually do that to the duct roller? tried everything to scrub off but no chance.
    any advice?!

    Which roller manufacturer do you use? Komori presses shouldn`t be difficult to recover. Let me know if you need more help via a PM. Could be the compound & are you using UV or conventional inks?

    sounds like your press is 10+ years old

    at this age , it is very hard to find what did the job and damage to the roller over the years

    It is easy to recover in the UK - if you contact me by e-mail i will give you the contacts for that - easy job and forget all about it for the next 10 years :)
