Hello! I'm looking for "one printer to rule them all." Has anyone come across a printer that they absolutely love and does everything for them?

My budget isn't particularly tight right now and I'm willing to pay a pretty penny for something that can do it all for me. I've been looking around and while I've found several nice prospects, it's a Sunday and none of the businesses I've emailed are going to get back to me for a while.

I'm looking for a high quality, versatile digital printer. Things that I'm looking for in a printer are:
    -large format
-print in variety of sizes (from 4x6" to At Least 11x17", 40xX" would be great as well)
    -high resolution
-variety of media (light weight paper to card stock)
    -50k-100k pieces per month
-reliable, can run in a 24/7 business without too much hassle
    -fast, but accurate
    -auto duplexing

    Wants:
-would be lovely if it were compatible with Macintosh, but not an absolute necessity
-the ability to bind; otherwise I'll have to get a binder as well

I do plan to go through a broker, but this is one printer that I do love: http://www.xerox.com/digital-printing/printers/digital-press/xerox-800-1000/enus.html

Let me know if you've ever run across a printer that you think "could rule them all." Do you like either of the two I posted above? What's your favorite printer?

    Thanks!
    Chelsea

Check out the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C7000 - http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/wps/po...uction-print/digital-press/bizhub-press-c7000 . I work for a Konica Minolta dealer, and I could sell you one of these for $60,000 with a large capacity tray, dehumidifier for the LCT, ES-1000 spectrometer (for calibration), HDD, Preview kit, embedded fiery controller, relay unit, rehumidifcation unit, and the perfect binder. If you are interested in a 60 month lease, it would run around $950/month.

Maybe I've been missing out, but with a printer on this scale, what does a broker bring to the table? Negotiating directly with the company (who provides the supply & maintenance contract too) gets the best price overall of a new machine & x-years of supplies and maintenance.

CMCamper - if you are open to another option, the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000, I would like to discuss this product with you. I would be happy to provide you a side-by-side comparison of the Xerox Color 800 and the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000.

I ran the numbers on the Konica Minolta, and, pending credit approval, I can offer the PRESS C8000 to you for 60 months for $2,099 per month. That is a leased amount of $134,190, which is a 48% discount off of the retail value ($257,928), including options.

    This includes the follow options:
Second Fuser Unit, Relay Unit, Rehumidification Unit for the Relay Unit, choice of: IC-307 CREO External Controller or IC-306 EFI External Controller, Enabler Dongle for controller, Spectrophotometer for IC-307 or Spectrometer ES-1000 for IC-306, 3-drawer 4630 Sheet Paper Feed Unit, Dehumidifier/Heater for the Paper Feed Unit, Folding/Punch/Post Inserter, Perfect Binder, 240 Volt 30 Amp Surge protector for main unit, 208 Volt 20 Amp Surge protector for second fuser, and 120 Volt 15 Amp - Power Conditioning/AC/Ethernet/Phone.

We have been exploring adding a digital printer. How does the Konica compare to the Ricoh Pro C751EX?

Digital printing is the most profitable in the short run, on demand printing of 1,000 copies or less. It saves time and money by not having to pay for more copies you need.
