My printer is printing Cyan and Magenta rough. When I print those 2 colors they feel kind of like sandpaper. The other colors feel smooth. The toner sticks to the paper just looks and feels rough. What is wrong. How do I fix that?

You may need a developer change. This Konica's primary task during what they call a "PM Service" or preventative maintenance. That rough gritty texture that you feel is actually the developer itself (after it's lost its magnetism, and has been reduced to a fines powder). It begins to shake out from its home and find its way onto the prints.

It could be something wrong with your drums. But the fuser would smooth over the toner regardless of a drum error, so I doubt this.

Ok. Thanks a lot. Do you by any chance know how to change the Developer.

Also, I've been getting code SC45-20. Could this code be related to this issue.

You may need some unique tools - funnels - and bins to change the developer.
this was always something I had a tech come by and do. Its a bit of a lenthy service on small machines like this.

the code i'm not sure of. I'll see if i can look it up.

Sorry, I can't help you with the toner issue. I have a question: Are you charged double for service clicks on large sheets? We were misled during sales presentation and KM slipped a "double charge" on our service contract. Looking for what's out there and any suggestions. thanks

I was sort of mislead when I agreed to purchase the machine. It was revealed to me after the service guy delivered the machine and set up and he claims he neglected to mention it to me. I could have told him forget it and take the machine back but I negotiated a slight discount because I was not told in the very beginning.
The machine counts 8.5 x 11, one side, as 1 Click. So...

    8.5 x 11:
    (One Side) = 1 Click
    (Two Sides)= 2 Clicks

    8.5 x 14 • 11 x 17 • 12 x 18 • 13 x 19:
    (One Side) = 2 Clicks
    (Two Sides) = 4 Clicks

The Konica sales team has manipulated many. Contact Konica directly, as all your clicks should register as 'one' - even 13x19" sheets
