    Greetings fellow printers!
I am new to this forum, and after reading around for a while i decided to give a go at a question.

Im looking to buy a used KM Pro c5501 from my local KM dealership.
I have some questions regarding the prices, and terms in the contract, and hope someone is willing to give me a few pointers.

    The usage
    - Small media agency
    - Print business cards, flyers, posters
    - 80 - 300gr stock
    - 1000-5000clicks pr. month estimated

    The machine
    - Priced at about $5800 or €4600 + vat, im buying cash
    - 2008 model
    - About 500.000 clicks
    - LU202 - large cap. tray + FS607 booklet finisher
    - ic-408 onboard RIP

    The contract
    - 36 months
    - 25$ pr. month + vat
    - $0.064 color click
    - $0.008 b/w click
    - Service, toner, parts

    The questions
    - Is the price OK?
    - They want 30% more in service charges after 3 years. Normal? Fair?
    - 3-4 points in contract about charges may vary / change over time. Can i get this removed if i push? I want a PREDICTIBLE deal, thats why i want to go for payPrClick.
    - Any classic contract pitfalls i should know about when i comes to KM?

Thanks in advance for any answers.
Looking forward to spending time in this forum helping out :)

are click charges dependent on size?

Hi, Only question on your click charges: is that for any size sheet? (same cost for color or black if you run thru a 8.5x11 or 12 x 18? I have a c5500 and KM pulled a bait and switch on me and is charging 2X for larger sheets.

    Thanks for your reply!
Funny you should mention it, i found that clause in my contract as well.

First they served me a "classic office user" contract full of bugaloo...
Then i got a "office and production" contract, this one is much better / cleaner.

It says in the contract that if only A4 is specified then:
First contract: a3 is 50% more.
New contract: a3 is 25% more.

I told the salesman that is was out of the question, since he told me it was the same price.
They also tried to bill me for:
    - Shippingcost on toners
    - Extra toner if average is higher then 5% on blacks, and 20% on color.
This is also out of the question, and i will be getting a extra paper stating this.
