    Hi fellas,

I am having some registration issues when I have to print on both sides of the sheet. Exp. printing A4 leaflets which I have to turn and rotate the sheet.

I have created my own sheet in Illustrator with the color bar and the size I put the max size that rip accepts : 332.7 mm x 451.7 mm

My problem is calculating the center of the printed page, so when I rotate and turn the center of side 1 is just on top of the center of side-2.

How do you compensate for the 1 cm gripper ?

If you want to print on a height off 451.7 mm you can't compensate for gripper enough. Use image height off 450 mm and place content 5 mm off centre downwards if you wanted to print on paper 460 mm high.

I do the same thing in PDF and created an action for it. I create a document that has the height of the paper I will use. The action is taking care of placing a colorbar and placing the content 5 mm off center and cuts off 10 mm on top of the page.

ok try this, dont do PDF, from Corel or Ilustrator if you use this, do a PS or PostScript file, you can do this: First, i do recommed the operative system in Windows XP version, CorelDraw version X3 no more, (X5 version have many problem), in windows you can install the printer with the dirver from the RIP Server, you can find this driver from the RIP in the folder called "Win Tool" (if you wanna i have the driver you can write to my email i can help u) whe u have the job in coreldraw, remenber this, the gripper, is the down side, do the tablet job or print area in corel for 450mm x 330mm put a rectagule white or transparent in the area, u can do this do doble clic in sqare boton tool in coreldraw, u can see a square the sice from the area print, in this side put the job, remember, with the margin below, ok, the RIP is a PPD file "HDQMDR61.ppd" used to give attributes to the programs of the printer or press, use it when you go to print in corel print dialog box is an option "use ppd" Check it out and look the file, when you see this selected, use the properties of printing and selects the paper size MAX PAGE, once you select it returns to the print dialog box, and also activates or check the option "print acrhivo" when you des you will keep asking you print a file in. prt o. ps uses. ps that file does not change more attributes. In the Delta, has a print option "print from folder" this does is to copy the files in the (pdf, ps, jpg, tiff) to interpret, only then, the only thing left is to copy the. PS the folder and just wait for it ... Tomorrow I'll comment more solutions of Di press

    Hi Marc !

I am attaching a PDF file.
It is meant for a job with sheet size 460 x340. I made image size 450x330mm.

If I got it right - the green line should be the center line of the image.

    thnx for reading...

Sorry I made a mistake, from what I rememberd how I made it a few years ago I tought it was 5 mm but I checked my action and it was 10 mm off centre.

The centre line in a document ( 330 x 460 ) is at 230 mm both sides, but the press doesn't run a document that size so I move down all content 10 mm to the gripper and cut off 10 mm on the top off the document so I end up with a document with the size 330 x 450 mm.

    Hi Marc,

I guess it is the same as using a document 450x330 and making the center 10 mm down.

    Thnx man !

I will try it next time.

    No problem, but remenber...

In the last time, i used the PDF for print.... but this format is no good, is very bad for color, if u can use the color bar, how u see in the icon for this page, (a little square for for magenta, cyan, yellow and black), use and try to see if the yellow color is clean, dont have any spot of other color... Try to use a PS file, is better, other, if u can, in the classic model dont have for print small sheet, u can do this if u wanna only use for example 15mm long plate do this: First do the file screen with the image to print making the center 10 mm down, in the special tool menu, in the put for remplacement the plate, first writes the number of plate that remain. the document has burned at the plate. Once finished and needs another 15 mm dish, just leave the plate to the menu, write the remaining plate, and then tell you put a new plate full. and move the buttons to move the plate manual handy plate mounting, until it winds burned area is not seen, and then click OK every one. Thus the machine does not return all the plate complety, because wreath burning but above the surface list. remember to reset the values least one dish for a new job.
